Josh Lewis Named One of Canada’s Best Executives by Report on Business Magazine
NERVA Energy is proud to announce that our Chief Technical Engineer, Josh Lewis, has been recognized as one of Canada’s top executives in Report on Business magazine’s 2025 Best Executive Awards. This prestigious honour celebrates non-CEO leaders who have made a profound impact on their organizations and industries, demonstrating exemplary leadership, innovation, and strategic influence.

Recognizing Leadership in Energy Innovation
The Report on Business Best Executive Awards highlight visionary professionals across six functional categories, including Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Sales and Marketing, Technology, and Sustainability. Josh has been recognized in the Sustainability category for his exceptional contributions to energy conservation, decarbonization, and building optimization. Notably, he is one of only two leaders recognized in this category, alongside Jason Ashdown, Co-Founder and Chief Sustainability Officer of Skyline.
With over 25 years of experience in energy engineering and seven years at NERVA Energy, Josh has been instrumental in driving the adoption of cutting-edge energy efficiency solutions across North America. His leadership has not only advanced the company’s mission but has also reshaped industry standards, positioning NERVA as a frontrunner in sustainable building solutions.
A Legacy of Impact and Innovation

Beyond project execution, Josh is a trusted thought leader in the field. As a Fellow of the Association of Energy Engineers, a subject matter expert for Enbridge’s Savings by Design program, and a member of the Expert Advisory Panel at the Building Decarbonization Alliance, he has played a pivotal role in advancing sustainable building design and performance optimization. His advocacy for high-efficiency technologies has influenced developers, architects, and building operators to embrace next-generation energy solutions.
