A Humbling Achievement for the Drewlo Project
NERVA Energy's collaboration with Drewlo Holdings, which transformed 85 buildings into the largest multi-residential smart building conversion in North America, was at the heart of this award-winning project. This initiative, spanning over 13.3 million square feet and 10,000 suites, successfully integrated advanced energy management systems, smart controls, and innovative energy optimization strategies. The result? A 34% reduction in HVAC load, a 36% decrease in GHG emissions, and a 16% return on investment for Drewlo Holdings.

The Drewlo project was a comprehensive energy transformation, addressing the needs of one of Canada's largest private real estate portfolios. By leveraging data-driven benchmarking, conducting detailed audits, and implementing a unified energy management system, NERVA Energy's team created a model for large-scale retrofits.
Key outcomes of this landmark project included:
3.1 million kWh removed from Ontario's electricity grid.
1.3 million cubic meters of natural gas consumption eliminated.
$1.5 million in annual energy savings.
Improved building performance and operational efficiency across all 85 properties.
